Quantify BOQ is an AI-powered Bill of Quantities generation tool for the UK construction industry. The data controller is Callum Thorner, trading as Quantify BOQ. You can contact us at [email protected].

• Account information — your name and email address when you sign up or join the waitlist
• Usage data — how you interact with the platform, including pages visited and features used
• Project data — construction drawings and project details you upload to generate a Bill of Quantities
• Payment data — billing information processed securely via our payment provider (we do not store card details)
• Communications — emails or messages you send to us

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Provide and operate the Quantify BOQ service
• Process your drawings and generate Bill of Quantities outputs
• Send you service-related communications (account updates, billing)
• Send you product updates and marketing emails (you can opt out at any time)
• Improve and develop the platform
• Comply with our legal obligations

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

• Contract — processing necessary to provide the service you have signed up for
• Legitimate interests — improving our product and communicating with users
• Consent — where you have opted in to marketing communications
• Legal obligation — where required by law

5. Your uploaded drawings

Construction drawings you upload are processed by our AI system solely to generate your Bill of Quantities. We do not use your drawings to train AI models, share them with third parties, or retain them beyond what is necessary to provide the service. Drawings are processed securely and deleted in accordance with our data retention policy.

6. Third parties

We share data with the following third-party service providers only as necessary to operate the platform:

• Anthropic — AI processing of uploaded drawings (subject to Anthropic's privacy policy)
• Mailchimp (Intuit) — email marketing and waitlist management. When you sign up for early access, your email address is stored in Mailchimp. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send. Mailchimp's privacy policy is available at mailchimp.com/legal/privacy
• Railway — cloud hosting and infrastructure
• Stripe — payment processing (future)
• Google Workspace — email and internal communications
• Cloudflare — domain, security, and content delivery

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

7. Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing
• Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
